Chongqing itself is the opening and closing act. Hongyadong, the stilted Bashu buildings stacked up the cliff face and lit at night, the Liberation Monument, and Longmenhao Old Street on the last day. In between you go deep into Enshi. Tenglong Cave is the largest known karst cave in China and runs a laser show and Tujia song and dance inside it. The Yunlong Ground Fissure is a rare U shaped chasm with waterfalls running through it. Seven Star Village is the heart of the Enshi Grand Canyon, where the One Incense Stick rock stands on its own.
The last full day is Baidi City at the mouth of the Qutang Gorge, the Three Kingdoms site on the Yangtze, and the Peak of Three Gorges above it.
