Day 3 is the whole point. Changbai Mountain North Scenic Area, and at the top of it Tianchi, Heaven Lake, sitting in the crater of a volcano with the Chinese and North Korean border running straight through the water. The shuttle bus, the eco bus and the transfer bus are all included, which matters because you cannot drive yourself up. The same day takes in the Changbai Waterfall and the Julong hot springs where the ground steams.
Yanji is Korean Chinese territory and it shows. The folk culture park has costumes you can wear, and at Baihuagu on Day 2 you make kimchi and rice cakes yourself. There are no shopping stops on this itinerary.

Hotel – Rooms are twin sharing. Standard check-in is 2PM and check out is 12NN unless the itinerary says otherwise. Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and fees. Children are arranged in the same room as their parents. If an extra room is needed, or for special requests, additional costs will apply.

You go up to it on Day 3 and the transport is all included. What nobody can promise is the weather. Changbai Mountain makes its own cloud and the crater is fogged in on a fair number of days, so you may look at white rather than blue water. That is the nature of the place and it is not something a tour operator controls.
