USD 349 per person including round trip airfare on JuneYao, four nights in a 4 star Shanghai hotel, a private coach and an English speaking guide. That is a very low price for a China package with flights, and the reason is set out honestly further down this page: the itinerary carries compulsory shopping stops.
What you actually see is good. Nanjing Road and the Bund, the Oriental Pearl Tower from across the water, Zhang Garden, and the Chenghuang Temple bazaar. Day 3 goes out to Xinshi Ancient Town, one of the old canal towns, with a Hanfu costume experience and a rotary hotpot lunch thrown in as a free upgrade.
Day 4 is deliberately free, and there are three optional add ons that day: Shanghai Disneyland, the Jinmao Tower observation deck with Xintiandi, or nothing at all.

Airfare – This package does not include your flights. Book your own, then tell us your arrival and departure times so we can set your transfers and your tour around them.
Hotel – Rooms are twin sharing. Standard check-in is 2PM and check out is 12NN unless the itinerary says otherwise. Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and fees. Children are arranged in the same room as their parents. If an extra room is needed, or for special requests, additional costs will apply.
Dates – The rate holds until 31 December 2026 and is not available over Christmas, New Year or public holidays. Rates are subject to change and all rooms are subject to availability.
Three stops are built into the itinerary: a latex shop, a Chinese medicine shop and a jade shop. The coach takes you, you go in, and you spend the allotted time there. You are not required to buy anything. The supplier does apply a penalty if a traveller refuses to go in at all, which is why we call it compulsory rather than optional. It is also why the price with airfare is this low.
Yes. Round trip Manila to Shanghai Pudong direct with JuneYao Airlines, with one 23kg checked bag and a 5kg carry on. Note the carry on allowance is smaller than most airlines.
Yes, a China group visa at USD 40 per person. Because the whole group travels on one visa you cannot go off on a tour run by a different operator during the free day, and you cannot arrive early or stay on afterwards.
No. It is an optional extra on Day 4 at USD 120 per person, which covers the ticket, transfers and a guide. It needs a minimum of 10 travellers to run. The alternative on that day is the Jinmao Tower package at USD 60.
USD 455 for a minor aged 11 to 17 with a bed, USD 375 for a child aged 2 to 10 without a bed, and around USD 199 for an infant aged 2 to 24 months, which covers airfare only. Note the 11 to 17 rate is higher than the adult rate. That is what the supplier quotes and we are confirming it, so ask us before you book for a family.
The Philippine travel tax of PHP 1,620 is paid by you directly at the airport, not collected with your tour fee. Bring it with you on departure day.
The rate is per person on twin sharing. A room to yourself carries a single supplement of USD 90. Triple rooms are not guaranteed on this package.
