This is the better fed, better flown version of Hokkaido. Japan Airlines through Haneda, 23kg of checked baggage in two pieces and 10kg of hand carry, and three dinners instead of two, one of them a crab buffet with shabu shabu on the first night.
You get Otaru the evening you land, the canal and the glassworks and the music box museum. Then Bibai Snowland, the Sapporo Beer Museum, Odori Park and Mount Moiwa for the night view over the city, which is the one people remember. Noboribetsu Hell Valley and the Edo period park, a night at the onsen hotel on Lake Toya, Niseko, and on the last day the Shikotsu Ice Festival before the evening flight home.
One departure only: 12 to 16 February 2027, ₱142,220 per person, which is USD 2,188.
Read the flight times carefully. The outbound leaves Manila late on 11 February, the night before the tour date, on JL078 at 11:25pm. You connect at Haneda in the morning and land at New Chitose at 8:55am on the 12th. Coming home it is the same pattern in reverse, so you land in Manila at 5:35 in the morning on 17 February.

Because the Japan Airlines routing goes through Tokyo Haneda. JL078 leaves Manila at 11:25pm on 11 February, you connect at Haneda in the morning and reach Sapporo at 8:55am on the 12th, which is why Day 1 can start with a full afternoon in Otaru. Coming home works the same way, so you land in Manila at 5:35am on 17 February. Book your leave accordingly.
Three things. This one flies JAL through Haneda rather than direct, so it costs more and the travel days are longer. You get more baggage, 23kg in two pieces plus 10kg hand carry. And you eat better: three dinners including a crab buffet with shabu shabu, where the PAL tour has two. The itinerary also swaps in Mount Moiwa and the Shikotsu Ice Festival.
Yes. Philippine passport holders need a Japanese visa and this tour does not include it. You apply through an accredited travel agency, not directly at the embassy, and the fee and paperwork are yours. Start early, because processing takes weeks and approval is never guaranteed.
An ice sculpture festival on the shore of Lake Shikotsu, where the structures are built by spraying lake water onto frames until it freezes into blue ice. It runs through late January and February and the exact dates move year to year. It is on your last day, before the evening flight. If the festival is closed or the weather turns, the guide will adjust.
Only at your own cost, and not for a full day. Day 4 includes the visit. Lift passes, ski hire and lunch up the mountain are excluded.
Four hotel breakfasts, three lunches and three dinners. The dinners are the crab buffet with shabu shabu on the first night, the onsen hotel buffet on Lake Toya, and one more. Lunch on Day 4 and Day 5 is yours.
A child from 2 to 6 years old without their own bed is USD 100 less than the adult, about ₱6,500 off. From 6 years old Japanese rules require their own bed and they pay the adult rate. Tell us the ages when you book.
Yes, for a single supplement of ₱26,000, which is USD 400. Without it you are in a twin room with another traveller. Triple rooms are limited, and where one is not available we put two of you in a twin and one in a single, with the single supplement applying to that person.
