Detail

Guizhou is the province most people skip, which is exactly why it is worth going. Mountains, waterfalls, Miao and Buyi villages, and the strangest thing in China: the five hundred metre Pingtang Sky Eye, the largest single dish radio telescope ever built, sitting in a natural limestone bowl.

You also get Huangguoshu, seventy seven metres high and a hundred and one wide, with a cave walkway behind the curtain of it. Yelang Valley, the sculpture park they call the Kingdom of Stones. Jiaxiu Pavilion on its rock in the middle of Guiyang. And the odd corners: the White House, the Twin Towers, Dolphin Square and the Hi-Le food street.

No shopping stops anywhere in the six days, local 5 star hotels throughout, and breakfast plus six meals included.

Six departures from November 2026 to March 2027, from ₱45,435 per person, which is USD 699.

What You Also Pay

The rate above covers what is listed under Price Includes. These are the costs that land on top of it. We would rather you saw the real number now than found it later.

  • Getting around inside the two big attractions. At the Sky Eye your entrance ticket is included but the transport within the scenic area, the commentary headset and the round trip sightseeing bus up to the observation deck are not. At Huangguoshu the entrance is included but the electric vehicle and the round trip escalator are not. Both are long walks otherwise, so most people take the optional package below.
  • The optional package, ₱9,750 per person, which is USD 150. It bundles the Sky Eye electric vehicle, headphones, a guided tour and the round trip sightseeing bus, plus the Huangguoshu electric vehicle and escalator, and a seafood barbecue buffet.
  • China group visa, ₱2,600 per person, which is USD 40. We arrange it and collect the fee with your tour fee.
  • Philippine travel tax, ₱1,950 per person, which is USD 30. Also collected with your tour fee.
  • Tips for the driver and guide, ₱3,900 per person, which is USD 60. Also collected with your tour fee.
  • Single supplement, ₱9,750 per person, which is USD 150, if you do not want to share a room.
  • Travel insurance, which is not included on this tour.
  • Fuel surcharge. The supplier flags this as subject to change, so a rise between booking and departure is passed on.

FAQ

What does my date cost?

7 November 2026, 23 November 2026 and 8 March 2027 are ₱45,435 per person, which is USD 699. 12 January 2027 is ₱47,385, or USD 729. 21 March 2027 is ₱58,435, or USD 899. 20 December 2026 is ₱71,435, or USD 1,099. Choose your dates in the booking box and the price follows.

What is the Sky Eye?

FAST, the Five hundred metre Aperture Spherical Telescope, built into a natural limestone sinkhole in Pingtang county. It is the largest single dish radio telescope ever constructed and it listens for pulsars and signals from deep space. Your entrance ticket is included. Phones and cameras are restricted near the dish because the electronics interfere with it, so expect to leave them behind at the checkpoint.

Why do I need the optional package?

You do not have to take it, but most people do. At both the Sky Eye and Huangguoshu, the entrance is included and the transport inside is not. That means a lot of walking and climbing at two large sites. The USD 150 package covers the shuttle buses, the electric vehicles, the escalator at Huangguoshu, a headset and guided commentary at the Sky Eye, and a seafood barbecue buffet.

Is this a shopping tour?

No. There are no compulsory stores anywhere in the six days, and no surcharge for not shopping. That is unusual at this price and it is the main reason to take this one over a cheaper China package.

Do I need a visa for China?

Yes, and we handle it. You travel on a China group visa, which costs USD 40 per person, about ₱2,600, collected with your tour fee. It is a group document, so you enter and leave China together with the group.

How many meals do I get?

Breakfast every morning plus six meals across the six days. They are Chinese communal meals with local Guizhou dishes, including free range chicken, which is what the province is known for. Guizhou food is sour and spicy in a way Sichuan is not, so come ready for that.

How much for children?

A child from 2 to 11 years old without their own bed starts at USD 659, about ₱42,835. Tell us the ages when you book and we will quote exactly for your date.

Can I have a room to myself?

Yes, for a single supplement of ₱9,750, which is USD 150. Without it you are in a twin room with another traveller.

How much driving is there?

A fair amount. Guiyang to Pingtang, Pingtang to Anshun and Anshun back to Guiyang are all mountain roads. Guizhou has excellent motorways now, which is recent, but the province is folded country and nothing is quick.
