This is central Japan in winter, the part most people fly over. Two nights up in Takayama in the Hida mountains, the morning market by the river, the old merchant town, and the Shinhotaka Ropeway lifting you above the snowline to the AlpScape deck. Then down through Shirakawa-go, the thatched farmhouse village under snow, and into Nagoya for the castle, Atsuta Shrine and the Toyota museum.
Cebu Pacific flies you both ways. 5J5038 leaves Manila at 6:40 in the morning and lands at Nagoya at 11:50, so Day 1 is a real day. Coming home, 5J5039 leaves at 1:20 in the afternoon and lands in Manila at 4:50. Two nights at the 4 star Wat Hotel and Spa Hida Takayama and two at the Toyoko Inn Nagoya Meieki Minami.
Six departures, all at the same price: ₱84,435 per person, which is USD 1,299. December through February, which is when Takayama and Shirakawa-go look the way you have seen them in photographs.
Checked baggage is not in this fare. Only 7kg of hand carry is included and a 20kg checked bag is USD 55 extra, which matters for a winter trip.

No. The fare includes 7kg of hand carry only. One 20kg checked bag is USD 55, about ₱3,575. On a winter trip where you are carrying a coat and boots, assume you need it.
Yes. Philippine passport holders need a Japanese visa and this tour does not include it. You apply through an accredited travel agency, not directly at the embassy, and the fee and paperwork are yours. Start early. Processing takes weeks and approval is never guaranteed.
It happens. The Shinhotaka Ropeway stops running in high wind or heavy snow, which in the Hida mountains in winter is not rare. If it is closed on your day the guide will reorganise around it, and no refund is due for a weather closure. Build it into your expectations rather than your plans.
Four hotel breakfasts, four lunches and one dinner, the one on your first night in Takayama. The other four dinners are yours. Takayama is small and quiet in the evening, Nagoya is not.
Yes, on Day 4, for USD 130 per person, about ₱8,450. It needs at least five people to go ahead. Anyone not joining spends that afternoon at Mitsui Outlet Park, which is already on the programme.
A child from 2 to 6 years old without their own bed is USD 100 less than the adult, about ₱6,500 off. From 6 years old Japanese rules require their own bed and they pay the adult rate. Tell us the ages when you book.
Yes, for a single supplement of ₱13,000, which is USD 200. Without it you are in a twin room with another traveller. Triple rooms are limited, and where one is not available we put two of you in a twin and one in a single, with the single supplement applying to that person.
A deposit of USD 500 per person, about ₱32,500, within three days of confirming. It is non refundable and it cannot be transferred to another departure. The rest is due one month before you travel.
