If the group does not complete all three, the operator adds USD 300 per person, about ₱19,500. You are never required to buy anything, only to be there.
  • China group visa, ₱2,600 per person, which is USD 40. We arrange it and collect the fee with your tour fee.
  • Fuel surcharge, ₱1,950 per person, which is USD 30. The supplier lists this separately from the fare.
  • Philippine travel tax, ₱1,950 per person, which is USD 30. Also collected with your tour fee.

FAQ

What does my date cost?

Four prices across nineteen departures, per person on twin sharing. The cheapest are ₱29,185, which is USD 449. Then ₱32,435 or USD 499, ₱35,685 or USD 549, and ₱38,935 or USD 599 on the peak dates. Every departure is listed in the booking box with its own price, so pick your dates there.

Tell me about the compulsory shopping.

Three stores: the Taihu Lake Pearl Art Museum on Day 2, a traditional Chinese medicine shop and a jewellery store on Day 3. Ninety minutes each, so four and a half hours across the trip. You do not have to buy anything. If the group does not complete all three, the operator adds USD 300 per person. That is how a five day tour with a 5 star resort night lands at USD 449.

What is the Oriental Salt Lake City?

A resort area in the Maoshan hills of Jiangsu, about 28 square kilometres, built around the mountain’s salt springs and its Taoist history. You stay there a night in the 5 star Songguili Hotel, wear hanfu for a photography session with a film and prints included, and watch the Xiaoyao You night show. It is the part of this tour you will not find on the standard Shanghai packages.

Do I need a visa for China?

Yes, and we handle it. You travel on a China group visa, which costs USD 40 per person, about ₱2,600, collected with your tour fee. It is a group document, so you enter and leave China together with the group.

Can I do Shanghai Disneyland?

Yes, on Day 4, for USD 129 per person, about ₱8,385. It needs four people to go ahead and the guide and driver do not come in with you. Everything you eat or buy inside is yours.

How many meals do I get?

Four hotel breakfasts, two lunches and two dinners across five days. The free day has nothing but breakfast. Shanghai is easy to eat in on your own, but budget for it.

How much for children?

It depends on the age and the bed. A child from 2 to 6 is USD 100 more than the adult rate, and a child from 7 to 18 is USD 200 more, because of the hotel bed charges on this itinerary. That is unusual, so tell us the ages when you book and we will quote exactly.

Can I have a room to myself?

Yes, for a single supplement of ₱9,750, which is USD 150. Without it you are in a twin room with another traveller.

What do I pay to hold my seat?

A deposit of USD 200 per person, about ₱13,000, within three days of confirming. It is non refundable and it cannot be transferred to another departure. The rest is due one month before you travel.
