Taipei and Jiaoxi Hot Spring 4 Days 3 Nights with Airfare, Tamsui and Shifen

0
  • 4 days and 3 nights
  • Flights from Manila on EVA Air
  • A night in a Jiaoxi hot spring hotel
  • Tamsui, Shifen and Raohe
  • 3 breakfasts, 3 lunches and 1 dinner
  • English speaking guide and private bus

Detail

This is the slower Taiwan trip. One night out of Taipei in Jiaoxi, the hot spring town in Yilan, where the whole point is to sit in the water and do nothing. Around that you get Tamsui at the river mouth, the old streets at Dadaocheng and Ximending, the volcanic park at Yangmingshan, and the sky lanterns and waterfall at Shifen.

EVA Air flies you both ways out of Manila. BR262 leaves at 5:45 in the morning and lands at Taoyuan at 8:05, so Day 1 is a full day. Coming home, BR261 leaves at 8:30 at night and lands in Manila at 10:16. Two nights in Taipei at the 4 star HiONE Holiday Hotel or the New World, and one night in Jiaoxi at the 4 star Hotel Pin or the Gamalan Spring.

Three breakfasts, three lunches and the dinner in Jiaoxi are included. Two departures: 9 to 12 March 2027 at ₱42,185 per person, which is USD 649, and 9 to 12 April 2027 at ₱45,435, or USD 699.

Price Includes

  • Return international airfare from Manila on EVA Air
  • Airport tax and terminal fee
  • 23kg checked baggage
  • Private bus with an English speaking tour guide
  • All entrance fees for the sights listed
  • 3 nights hotel accommodation on twin sharing, one of them in Jiaoxi
  • 3 hotel breakfasts, 3 lunches and 1 dinner

Price Excludes

  • Dinner on Day 1 and Day 3
  • Single supplement if you want a room to yourself
  • Travel insurance
  • Philippine travel tax
  • Tips for the driver and guide
  • Taipei 101 observatory ticket

What You Also Pay

The rate above covers what is listed under Price Includes. These are the costs that land on top of it. We would rather you saw the real number now than found it later.

  • Philippine travel tax, ₱1,950 per person, which is USD 30. We collect this together with your tour fee.
  • Tips for the driver and guide, ₱1,300 per person, which is USD 20. That is USD 5 a day for four days, also collected with your tour fee.
  • Single supplement, ₱12,220 per person, which is USD 188, if you do not want to share a room.
  • Your Taiwan entry permit or visa, if one applies to your passport. You arrange it yourself and the fee is yours.
  • Travel insurance, which is not included on this tour.
  • Dinner on Day 1 and Day 3. Only the Jiaoxi dinner on Day 2 is covered.
  • Taipei 101 on Day 3 is a photo stop from the outside. The observatory ticket is not included.
  • The balance of your tour fee is due one month before departure. Tell us at booking and we will confirm the deposit JSC is asking for on your departure.
  • A fuel surcharge, if the airline imposes one before departure. This can happen without notice.

Itinerary

Day 1, Manila to Taipei, Tamsui, Dadaocheng and Ximending

BR262 leaves Manila at 5:45 in the morning and lands at Taoyuan at 8:05. Your guide meets you after immigration and the bus heads into Taipei. Tamsui Fisherman’s Wharf first, then Tamsui Old Street for the food. Dadaocheng after that, the old tea trading quarter on the Danshui River, and Ximending in the evening. Hotel and check in. Lunch is included, dinner is yours.

Day 2, Yangmingshan and Jiaoxi Hot Spring

Breakfast and check out. Yangmingshan first, the volcanic park on the hills above Taipei. A pineapple cake you make yourself. Then over to Yilan for Tangweigou Hot Spring Park and Jiaoxi Old Street. Check in at the hot spring hotel. Lunch and dinner are both included today, which is the only dinner on the tour.

Day 3, Shifen, Taipei 101 and Raohe Night Market

Breakfast and check out, then back towards Taipei. Shifen Old Street, where you write your wish on a sky lantern and let it go, then Shifen Waterfall. Bubble tea you make yourself. A photo stop at Taipei 101 from the outside, no observatory. The day ends at Raohe Night Market, one of the oldest in the city. Back to the hotel in Taipei. Lunch included, dinner your own.

Day 4, Taipei to Manila

Breakfast and check out, then free and easy until the transfer. BR261 leaves Taipei at 8:30 at night and lands in Manila at 10:16. Breakfast is the only meal included.

FAQ

What does my date cost?

Two departures. 9 to 12 March 2027 is ₱42,185 per person on twin sharing, which is USD 649. 9 to 12 April 2027 is ₱45,435, or USD 699. Choose your package in the booking box and the price follows.

What is the hot spring night actually like?

You stay one night in Jiaoxi, the hot spring town in Yilan, at the 4 star Hotel Pin or the Gamalan Spring, both of which pipe the spring water into the rooms. Tangweigou Hot Spring Park is a public foot bath in the middle of town, free to use, and Jiaoxi Old Street is a few minutes away. Bring a swimsuit if you want to use a public pool rather than your own bath.

Do I need a visa for Taiwan?

This tour does not include one. Philippine passport holders have been able to enter Taiwan without a visa under a scheme Taiwan keeps renewing, and there is also the free online travel authorisation certificate for those who qualify. The rules change, so check the current position with the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Manila before you pay your balance.

How many meals do I get?

Three breakfasts at the hotel, three lunches, and one dinner, the one in Jiaoxi on Day 2. Day 1 and Day 3 dinners are your own, and both of those evenings finish near street food, Ximending on the first night and Raohe on the third.

Can I go up Taipei 101?

Not on this tour. Day 3 is a photo stop from the outside only and the observatory ticket is excluded.

How much for children?

A child from 2 to 9 years old without their own bed and without hotel breakfast is USD 50 less than the adult on both departures, about ₱3,250 off. From 10 years old Taiwanese rules require their own bed and they pay the adult rate. Tell us the ages when you book.

Can I have a room to myself?

Yes, for a single supplement of ₱12,220, which is USD 188. Without it you are in a twin room with another traveller. Triple rooms are limited, and where one is not available we put two of you in a twin and one in a single, with the single supplement applying to that person.

Can the itinerary be changed on the day?

No, and that is a legal limit rather than a preference. Taiwan caps a single coach driver at 10 hours of driving and 11 hours on duty in a day. Stretching or reordering the programme would push the driver over, so the guide will not do it.

How does payment work?

The balance is due one month before departure. Tell us your departure when you book and we will confirm the deposit and when it is due. Seats go first come, first served.
