Taipei and Taichung 4 Days 3 Nights with Airfare, Sun Moon Lake and Jiufen

0
  • 4 days and 3 nights
  • Flights from Manila on EVA Air
  • Sun Moon Lake cruise included
  • Yehliu, Shifen and Jiufen in one day
  • 3 breakfasts and 3 lunches included
  • English speaking guide and private bus

Detail

Two cities in four days. Taichung first, because the flight lands at eight in the morning and there is no sense wasting it, then north to Taipei for the coast and the mountains behind it. You cruise Sun Moon Lake, eat your way through Fengjia Night Market, watch the sea chew the rocks at Yehliu, send a lantern up at Shifen and climb the stairs at Jiufen as the lamps come on.

EVA Air flies you both ways out of Manila. BR262 leaves at 5:45 in the morning and lands at Taoyuan at 8:05, so you are on the bus before most people have had breakfast. Coming home, BR261 leaves Taipei at 8:30 at night and lands in Manila at 10:16. You get one night at the 4 star Inhouse Hotel in Taichung and two at the 4 star Hi ONE Holiday Hotel in Taipei, with a private bus and an English speaking guide throughout.

Three breakfasts and three lunches are included, which is more than most short tours give you. Day 2 lunch is the Mongolian barbecue buffet. Dinners are your own, which in Taiwan is not a hardship.

Four departures. Three of them are ₱38,935 per person, which is USD 599. The April one is ₱42,185, or USD 649. Pick your dates in the booking box and the price follows.

Price Includes

What You Also Pay

The rate above covers what is listed under Price Includes. These are the costs that land on top of it. We would rather you saw the real number now than found it later.

  • Philippine travel tax, ₱1,950 per person, which is USD 30. We collect this together with your tour fee.
  • Tips for the driver and guide, ₱1,300 per person, which is USD 20. That is USD 5 a day for four days, also collected with your tour fee.
  • Single supplement, ₱10,335 per person, which is USD 159, if you do not want to share a room.
  • Your Taiwan entry permit or visa. You arrange it yourself and the fee is yours.
  • Travel insurance, which is not included on this tour.
  • Dinner every night. Three breakfasts and three lunches are covered, no dinners are.
  • Taipei 101 on Day 2 is the building, not the observatory. The observatory ticket is not included and you pay it there if you want to go up.
  • Day 3 includes a stop at the Everich Duty Free Shop. Nothing is compulsory to buy, but the stop is part of the programme.
  • A deposit of ₱19,500 per person, which is USD 300, due within three days of confirming your seat. It is non refundable and it cannot be moved to another date. The balance is due one month before you fly.
  • A fuel surcharge, if the airline imposes one before departure. This can happen without notice.

The big day. Yehliu Geopark first, where the sea has carved the headland into mushrooms and honeycombs. Then Shifen Old Street, where you write your wish on a sky lantern and let it go, four people to a lantern. Shifen Waterfall after that. Jiufen Old Street and the Mei Teahouse in the late afternoon, which is the right time for it. A stop at the Everich Duty Free Shop, then Raohe Night Market, one of the oldest in Taipei. Lunch included, dinner your own.

FAQ

What does my date cost?

Four departures. 23 to 26 January 2027, 27 February to 2 March 2027 and 9 to 12 March 2027 are all ₱38,935 per person on twin sharing, which is USD 599. 9 to 12 April 2027 is ₱42,185, or USD 649. Choose your package in the booking box and the price follows.

Do I need a visa for Taiwan?

This tour does not include one. Philippine passport holders have been able to enter Taiwan without a visa under a scheme Taiwan keeps renewing, and there is also the free online travel authorisation certificate for those who qualify. The rules change, so check the current position with the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Manila before you pay your balance. Whatever applies, the cost and the paperwork are yours.

Is my baggage included?

Yes, 23kg checked. Hand carry follows EVA Air’s normal allowance.

How many meals do I get?

Three breakfasts at the hotel and three lunches, including the Mongolian barbecue buffet on Day 2. Dinner is on you every night. Taiwan has night markets on three of your four evenings, so that is less of a problem than it sounds.

Can I go up Taipei 101?

Not on the included programme. Day 2 stops at the building and the observatory ticket is excluded. You can buy one on the spot if the group schedule allows, but the tour does not wait for it.

How much for children?

A child from 2 to 6 years old sharing your bed is USD 50 less than the adult on the January, February and March departures and USD 50 less in April, which is about ₱3,250 off. From 6 years old Taiwanese rules require their own bed and they pay the adult rate. Tell us the ages when you book.

Can I have a room to myself?

Yes, for a single supplement of ₱10,335, which is USD 159. Without it you are in a twin room with another traveller. Triple rooms are limited, and where one is not available we put two of you in a twin and one in a single, with the single supplement applying to that person.

What do I pay to hold my seat?

A deposit of USD 300 per person, about ₱19,500, within three days of confirming. It is non refundable and it cannot be transferred to another departure, so only pay it when you are sure of the date. The rest is due one month before you travel. Seats go first come, first served.

Is this a shopping tour?

No. There is one retail stop, the Everich Duty Free Shop on Day 3, and nothing you are made to buy. The night markets are shopping too, but that is the point of them.
