Two cities in four days. Taichung first, because the flight lands at eight in the morning and there is no sense wasting it, then north to Taipei for the coast and the mountains behind it. You cruise Sun Moon Lake, eat your way through Fengjia Night Market, watch the sea chew the rocks at Yehliu, send a lantern up at Shifen and climb the stairs at Jiufen as the lamps come on.
EVA Air flies you both ways out of Manila. BR262 leaves at 5:45 in the morning and lands at Taoyuan at 8:05, so you are on the bus before most people have had breakfast. Coming home, BR261 leaves Taipei at 8:30 at night and lands in Manila at 10:16. You get one night at the 4 star Inhouse Hotel in Taichung and two at the 4 star Hi ONE Holiday Hotel in Taipei, with a private bus and an English speaking guide throughout.
Three breakfasts and three lunches are included, which is more than most short tours give you. Day 2 lunch is the Mongolian barbecue buffet. Dinners are your own, which in Taiwan is not a hardship.
Four departures. Three of them are ₱38,935 per person, which is USD 599. The April one is ₱42,185, or USD 649. Pick your dates in the booking box and the price follows.

BR262 leaves Manila at 5:45 in the morning and lands at Taoyuan at 8:05. Your guide meets you at the airport and the bus heads straight for Taichung, about an hour and twenty minutes. Hotel after. Lunch is included, dinner is yours.

This tour does not include one. Philippine passport holders have been able to enter Taiwan without a visa under a scheme Taiwan keeps renewing, and there is also the free online travel authorisation certificate for those who qualify. The rules change, so check the current position with the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Manila before you pay your balance. Whatever applies, the cost and the paperwork are yours.
Yes, 23kg checked. Hand carry follows EVA Air’s normal allowance.
Three breakfasts at the hotel and three lunches, including the Mongolian barbecue buffet on Day 2. Dinner is on you every night. Taiwan has night markets on three of your four evenings, so that is less of a problem than it sounds.
Not on the included programme. Day 2 stops at the building and the observatory ticket is excluded. You can buy one on the spot if the group schedule allows, but the tour does not wait for it.
A child from 2 to 6 years old sharing your bed is USD 50 less than the adult on the January, February and March departures and USD 50 less in April, which is about ₱3,250 off. From 6 years old Taiwanese rules require their own bed and they pay the adult rate. Tell us the ages when you book.
Yes, for a single supplement of ₱10,335, which is USD 159. Without it you are in a twin room with another traveller. Triple rooms are limited, and where one is not available we put two of you in a twin and one in a single, with the single supplement applying to that person.
A deposit of USD 300 per person, about ₱19,500, within three days of confirming. It is non refundable and it cannot be transferred to another departure, so only pay it when you are sure of the date. The rest is due one month before you travel. Seats go first come, first served.
No. There is one retail stop, the Everich Duty Free Shop on Day 3, and nothing you are made to buy. The night markets are shopping too, but that is the point of them.
