Hokkaido 5 Days 4 Nights with Philippine Airlines, Otaru, Noboribetsu and Lake Toya

0
  • 5 days and 4 nights
  • Direct flights from Manila on Philippine Airlines
  • Checked baggage included, two pieces at 23kg
  • Otaru, Noboribetsu and Lake Toya
  • 4 breakfasts, 3 lunches and 2 dinners
  • One night at a lakeside onsen hotel

Detail

Hokkaido in winter, direct from Manila on Philippine Airlines, which is the main reason to take this one over the connecting versions. PR406 leaves at 6:35 in the morning and lands at New Chitose at 12:30, so you are sightseeing on Day 1 rather than losing it to a transfer in Tokyo.

You get the canal at Otaru with the gas lamps along it, the glassworks and the music box museum, the steam vents at Noboribetsu Hell Valley, the bear park at Showa Shinzan, and a night at a lakeside onsen hotel on Lake Toya with the buffet dinner that goes with it. Day 4 takes you up to Niseko, which is the ski resort people actually mean when they say they are going skiing in Japan.

Checked baggage is included here, two pieces at 23kg plus 7kg hand carry, which is not true of the cheaper Japan tours. Three of the five departures sit at ₱110,435 or below.

Five departures, four prices. The cheapest are 30 November 2026 and 20 February 2027 at ₱110,435 per person, which is USD 1,699. New Year is the dearest at ₱129,935, or USD 1,999.

Price Includes

  • Return direct airfare from Manila on Philippine Airlines
  • Airport tax and terminal fee
  • 23kg checked baggage in two pieces, plus 7kg hand carry
  • Private bus with an English speaking tour guide
  • All entrance fees for the sights listed, including Shiroi Koibito Park, Noboribetsu Jidaimura and Showa Shinzan Bear Park
  • 4 nights accommodation on twin sharing, one of them at a Lake Toya onsen hotel
  • 4 hotel breakfasts, 3 lunches and 2 dinners, one of which is the onsen hotel buffet

Price Excludes

  • Dinner on three of the five nights, and lunch on Day 4 and Day 5
  • Single supplement if you want a room to yourself
  • Japan visa, which you arrange and pay for yourself
  • Travel insurance
  • Philippine travel tax
  • Tips for the driver and guide
  • The Niseko cable car, ski hire and ski lessons
  • Personal spending such as phone calls and the mini bar

What You Also Pay

The rate above covers what is listed under Price Includes. These are the costs that land on top of it. We would rather you saw the real number now than found it later.

  • Philippine travel tax, ₱1,950 per person, which is USD 30. We collect this together with your tour fee.
  • Tips for the driver and guide, ₱1,625 per person, which is USD 25. That is USD 5 a day for five days, also collected with your tour fee.
  • Single supplement, ₱26,000 per person, which is USD 400, if you do not want to share a room.
  • Your Japan visa. Philippine passport holders need one and this tour does not include it. You apply through an accredited agency and the fee is yours.
  • Travel insurance, which is not included on this tour.
  • Niseko on Day 4 is the visit, not the skiing. The cable car ticket, any ski hire, lessons and lunch up there are all on you.
  • Dinner on three of the five nights, and lunch on Day 4 and Day 5.
  • A deposit of ₱32,500 per person, which is USD 500, due within three days of confirming your seat. It is non refundable and it cannot be moved to another date. The balance is due one month before you fly.
  • A fuel surcharge, if the airline imposes one before departure. This can happen without notice.

FAQ

What does my date cost?

Five departures, four prices, per person on twin sharing. 30 November to 4 December 2026 and 20 to 24 February 2027 are ₱110,435, which is USD 1,699. 13 to 17 February 2027 is ₱116,935, or USD 1,799. 19 to 23 December 2026 is ₱123,435, or USD 1,899. 1 to 5 January 2027 is ₱129,935, or USD 1,999. Choose your package in the booking box and the price follows.

Is checked baggage included?

Yes. Two pieces at 23kg plus 7kg hand carry are all in the fare. That is worth noting, because the Osaka and Nagoya tours include hand carry only.

Do I need a visa for Japan?

Yes. Philippine passport holders need a Japanese visa and this tour does not include it. You apply through an accredited travel agency, not directly at the embassy, and the fee and paperwork are yours. Start early, because processing takes weeks and approval is never guaranteed.

Can I actually ski at Niseko?

Only at your own cost, and the group does not wait a full day for it. Day 4 includes the visit to Niseko. The cable car ticket, ski and board hire, lessons and lunch up the mountain are all excluded. If skiing is the point of your trip, tell us and we will look at a different package.

Why is Alpen Snowland replaced on the November departure?

Because it is not open yet. JSC has flagged that for departures between 28 November and 2 December 2026, which covers the 30 November date, Alpen Snowland Bibai is closed and the stop becomes the ROYCE chocolate factory instead. Everything else on that day is unchanged.

What is the onsen night like?

You stay one night at the Toyako Manseikaku Lakeside Terrace on Lake Toya, in a 27 square metre room, and dinner that night is the hotel buffet. The baths are communal and traditional, which means no swimwear and separate areas for men and women. Bring nothing, the hotel provides what you need.

How many meals do I get?

Four hotel breakfasts, three lunches and two dinners, one of them the onsen buffet. You pay for dinner on nights one, four and five, and for lunch on Day 4 and Day 5.

How much for children?

A child from 2 to 6 years old without their own bed is USD 100 less than the adult on every departure, about ₱6,500 off. From 6 years old Japanese rules require their own bed and they pay the adult rate. Tell us the ages when you book.

Can I have a room to myself?

Yes, for a single supplement of ₱26,000, which is USD 400. Without it you are in a twin room with another traveller. Triple rooms are limited, and where one is not available we put two of you in a twin and one in a single, with the single supplement applying to that person.
